Product Full Details
The 1,000 Djibouti franc note was first issued in 1979 by the Banque Nationale de Djibouti (National Bank of Djibouti). The obverse features a woman in the foreground and a scene from a railroad track in the background. The reverse features a trader with three camels in the desert. There have been a variety of security features that were added to the 1,000 francs note. The security features of the 1991 banknote are a watermark of Djiboutis coat of arms, a security thread. The 1991 bank note also has a microtext frame instead of a solid brown frame, a feature in earlier printed versions of the banknote. Its dimensions are 152 mm by 81 mm.
