Design of the 1 Gram 2023 Issue Armenian Noah's Ark Coin

The Noah's Ark gold coin features the official Armenian Coat of Arms on the front. The coat of Arms features an Eagle looking to the West and a Lion looking to the East. Standing in front of them is the official shields of Armenia, with an image of Mount Ararat on the front. Written at the bottom of the coin are the words 'Republic of Armenia', and the same phrase is written in Armenian at the top of the coin. Beneath the coat of arms is the coin's face value of 100 Dram. The coin's year of minting, 2023, its size of 1 gram, and its purity of 999,9 are also inscribed to the side of the coat of arms.

The reverse side of the coin features an image of Noah's Ark floating in the flood waters, with an image of Mount Ararat in the distance with the sun rising behind it. In the forefront of the image there is a dove in flight with an olive branch in his mouth. The word's 'Noah's Ark' are inscribed on the outside of the coin in English and in Armenian.

The story of Noah's Ark originates from the Old Testament. The story tells of a flood destined to kill all living animals. Noah prepares for the flood by building a boat and taking two of each animal on board. He sails the animals to the top of Mount Ararat and they live there until the floods recede.
